FreeMed is one of the longest running opensource electronic medical record and practice management systems.[1]
History
It was founded in 1999 by Jeffrey Buchbinder in Connecticut, United States. FreeMED Software Foundation is a non-profit corporation.

- It is based on LAMP or LAMPS (Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP)[2]
