GNU Health is an opensource Electronic Medical Record and Hospital Information System developed by Luis Falcon in 2008 with funding from GNU Solidario. It is currently in use in clinics in Nigeria, Ghana, Indonesia and Argentina. Its primary goal mission is "contribute with health professionals around the world to improve the lives of the underprivileged, providing a free system that optimizes health promotion and disease prevention"[1]
