Greenway Medical technologies, Inc is an independent privately held company founded in 1998 by a group of physicians, clinicians, practice administrators, hospital executives and community leaders in Carrollton, GA. These physicians and healthcare stakeholders still remain central in the design, architecture and development of Greenway's solutions.[1]

PrimeSuite is Greenway Medical technologies’ fully integrated EHR, PM and interoperability solution which is built on one database. The programming language used to develop the application is Microsoft.NET.[2] Some of the features of solution are Clinical Charting- e-Prescribing, Customized Clinical Templates, Orders Tracking, Clinical Alerts etc, Practice Management- Scheduling, Patient registration, Reporting etc.[3] PrimeSuite is the foundation of Greenway’s Integrated Physician’s Infrastructure. The Physician’s Infrastructure allows PrimeSuite customers to easily incorporate electronic modules that combine for a tailored, robust solution.[4]

Implementation

The EHR is currently in more than 200 Walgreens stores, with chainwide rollout to its nearly 8,000 locations planned to be completed by the end of summer 2013.
