THE COMPANY

Massoud Alibakhsh Founder, President & CEO

Massoud has spent the last 19 years in the software technology and health care information management industries. He developed his current vision for Nuesoft while pursuing graduate studies at Georgia Institute of Technology and working full time at a parallel computing research lab at the Institute.

In 1993, he founded Nuesoft Technologies Inc. at the Advanced Technology and Development Center (ATDC). During his career, Massoud has held various positions as president, lead designer/architect and development manager. In 1988, he founded Interactive Communications System to develop software applications for remote computing. The company was profitable when sold one year later. He has also consulted and developed software applications for organizations such as Microsoft, ACOG (Atlanta Committee for Olympic Games), Wells Fargo Bank and IBM.

Massoud’s management philosophy is based on his belief in people and empowerment of both employees and clients. He has an in-depth understanding of technology and its role in affecting people’s lives, as well as the business environment.

He received a BS degree in Electrical Engineering from Southern Technical Institute in 1982.


Shahram Famorzadeh, Ph.D. Chief Technology Officer

Dr. Famorzadeh comes to Nuesoft from Conexant Systems Inc., a semiconductor spin off from Rockwell International. As a lead System Architect on DSL technology, he helped Conexant to develop the first DSL Access Multiplexer (DSLAM) and the client ADSL solution.

Famorzadeh worked as a systems design engineer with Schlumberger Industries and as a full-time research engineer with the Center for Signal and Image Processing at Georgia Center for Advanced Telecommunications Technology. His work there included projects sponsored by the Advanced Technology Laboratories of Lockheed Martin, the Naval Research Laboratory in Maryland and the Department of Advanced Research Project Agency (DARPA). As part of his doctoral thesis, Dr. Famorzadeh created a distributed software environment and architecture for developing signal processing applications over the Internet. Dr. Famorzadeh has published 13 articles in various journals and has filed three patents for DSL-related technology.

Dr. Famorzadeh received a B.S.E.E. degree from the University of Tennessee in 1989 and an M.S.E.E. degree and a Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology in 1990 and 1997 respectively.


Caleb Clarke Director of Strategic Development and Direct Sales

Clarke has 15 years of operational, sales and marketing experience across a broad range of companies. He worked in the health care industry at a Managing General Underwriter and later at a managed care organization. After working in both marketing and sales management roles in the construction industry, he served as a service line manager at Atlanta’s Orkin Pest Control.

Clarke earned a bachelor’s degree from Vanderbilt University, and holds an MBA from Georgia State University with a concentration in marketing.


Jennifer McDuffee Director of Marketing and Communications

A public relations and marketing veteran, McDuffee has 15 years of experience directing consumer and business-to-business public relations and marketing campaigns in corporate, agency and non-profit settings. Her previous health care experience includes stints with the American Association of Occupational Health Nurses, where she headed communications and government affairs efforts; the National Stroke Association, and Cigna HealthCare of Colorado. In addition to her health care experience, McDuffee served as the public relations manager for Atlanta-based Orkin Pest Control, and has worked in the sports, and travel/tourism industries, where her media relations programs garnered several national and local awards. Her areas of expertise include brand development, industry relations, media training and strategic planning.

McDuffee earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism and mass communication from the University of Colorado at Boulder.


Matt Parrack Director of Business Development

As Director of Business Development, Parrack is responsible for identifying new opportunities that will drive product distribution, operational improvements, and product excellence for Nuesoft and its clients. A Nuesoft veteran, Parrack has taken on many roles at the company, including oversight of direct and indirect sales of the Nuesoft physician product line. Parrack works closely with marketing, product development, and support operations to ensure the satisfaction of the existing customer base, as well as to grow market share ahead of industry averages.

Parrack brings to Nuesoft 10 years of health care information technology and sales experience, including work in health care administration with the University of Colorado's Medical Center and Pennsylvania Hospital. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Health Administration at Saint Joseph's University in Philadelphia and master's in business administration from Georgia State University in Atlanta.


Steve Rogers Director of Product Management

Rogers brings more than 15 years experience in software product development and product management. He has an extensive background developing, managing, integrating and supporting complex technology products in a variety of settings – from global firms to startups. His previous roles include vice president of product management and engineering operations at Imbee, Inc., and vice president of both global service and support and product management at Zhone Technologies. In addition to his strong project management and technical background, Rogers offerse an innovative approach to product development and customer service.

He earned a bachelor’s in civil engineering and a master’s degree in computer science from Georgia Institute of Technology.


Stephen Wooten Director of Training, Implementation, and Media Production

Wooten brings more than 15 years’ experience as a multimedia software developer. He headed his own consulting business, Interactive Solutions, for more than a decade, where he designed and produced nearly 30 interactive programs spanning health care, information technology, finance and cable television. Former clients include IBM, Caterpillar, Union Bank of California, Apple Computers, Emory Vision Center, DuPont, the Smithsonian Institution, and the Discovery Channel. Wooten received a Mark of Excellence Award from the International Interactive Communications Society and he is the inventor of a pending Video-on-Demand design patent.

Wooten earned his bachelor’s degree in cognitive psychology and master’s in instructional technology from Florida State University. He also holds an MBA with a marketing concentration from Mercer University and studied technical management practices at The Georgia Institute of Technology."[3]
