The Omron wrist blood pressure monitor helps personal health records (PHR).

Introduction

Omron has several models of wrist blood pressure monitors that are both accurate and easy to use. Digital monitors, like Omron wrist monitors, offer an easy and convenient way to measure your blood pressure that automate the process, so the person does not need to listen for the pulse and look for the systolic and diastolic pressures on the analog indicator, instead a unit with digital display will do all the work and present the result on a LCD display in a convenient manner. Omron monitor are equipped with a sensor that tells you if the placement of the unit was correct and therefore the pressure is accurate. Of course there is always a tradeoff between accuracy and convenience. Big blood pressure cuffs that are found in hospitals are more accurate than wrist monitors, but they also require training to use properly. Simple wrist monitors are not as accurate, but will be perfectly acceptable for the purposes of PHR.

Omron HEM-650 model is capable of storing up to 90 readings and it automatically averages last three readings, giving you more accurate representation of your blood pressure. Personal Health Records systems are indeed a good idea and tools like wrist blood pressure monitors by Omron make PHR even more attractive for consumers.
