STEVEN MCGAUGHEY, MD is a Pediatric Emergency Fellow at Oregon Health and Sciences University. He received his undergraduate degree in Architecture and Biochemistry at Dartmouth College in New Hampshire. After graduation, he worked as an architect as well as a website developer before returning to medicine. He then completed his medical degree and externship in pediatric musculoskeletal disorders at the Carver College of Medicine at the University of Iowa. He recently completed his residency training in pediatrics at Washington University in St. Louis and worked there as a pediatric hospitalist. He is now completing a masters in Clinical Informatics at Oregon Health and Sciences University alongside his clinical fellowship. His interest spans a variety of fields from medical device design to computer user interface design to clinician-EHR interactions. Currently, his research focuses on digital tools and pharmacologic agents to improve psychiatric care to children in the Emergency Department.
