Certification Commission for Health Information Technology (CCHIT)

Certification Commission for Health Information Technology (CCHIT®) is a nonprofit foundation for electronic health record technology. CCHIT was founded in 2004, and started to certify electronic health records (EHRs) since 2006. At the middle of 2009, there are more than 200 EHR products being certified by CCHIT, including:
- Ambulatory EHR
- Emergency Department EHR
- Enterprise EHR
- Inpatient EHR
- Stark and Anti-Kickback Exemption
