The revised three-layer graph-based meta model is the work of Winter A, Brigl B, and Wendt at University of Leipzig in Germany. The meta model 3LGM2 is presented as an ontological basis for modeling th ecomprehensive information system of a hospital(HIS). It supports strategic information management by concepts on three layers. The domain layer consist of enterprose functions and entity typrs, the logical tool layer focuses on application components and the physical tool layer describes physical data processing componets.
