Jason Scott Stewart is a graduate student at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, TX. He is working towards a degree in Biomedical Informatics. He earned his BS degree in Respiratory Therapy at the University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston, TX. Scott, as he prefers to be called, has been a respiratory therapist for 25 years. He has specialty certificates in neonatal-pediatrics respiratory care, pulmonary function testing, and asthma education. While being very devoted to the field of respiratory therapy, Scott has always wanted to expand his knowledge in order to better understand the global picture of health care. Biomedical informatics seems like a perfect way for him to attain this goal professionally. In his spare time, Scott enjoys working in his yard, spending time with family, and traveling. He particularly enjoys traveling during the Christmas season each year in order to experience the holiday in different regional environments. Scott currently has residences in both La Marque, TX and Galveston, TX. He lives a busy but blissful life with his partner and their three dogs.
