Michael Albrecht, MD practiced inpatient and outpatient internal medicine in rural Kansas from 2015 to 2023, but developed an interest in computer science, programming, and informatics along the way. He attended a clinical informatics fellowship at the University of Kansas Medical Center from 2023 to 2025 while pursuing a Masters in Health and Clinical Informatics from OHSU. His informatics interests include software development to automate mundane processes within healthcare, FHIR, interoperability, and data science/data analytics. He lives with his wife and 3 children in the Kansas City metropolitan area.
